Missions are a big part of the Kingdom of God: "Go and make disciples of all nations..." What a joy and privilege to be in active pursuit of reaching out with love and service to God’s precious children, right here at home... in our community... and around the world. Here are some of the ongoing ways Messiah is reaching out to others.

Messiah iCare: Used eyeglasses are collected & cleaned; lenses read & sorted; bagged & sent all over the world as we assist MOST Ministries carry out the Great Commission while blessing others with the gift of sight! Messiah iCare center is located right on our premises. You’re invited to take part in this exciting mission opportunity. We’ll be happy to train you - it’s easy! You can serve according to your schedule and convenience. We’d love to have you on our team!

Poland: Each summer (typically late July) Messiah sends a mission team who works with members of a local Lutheran Church to run an English as a Second Language/VBS Day Camp for kids ages 8 to 18, called Rainbow Harvest Camp. Activities include: teaching English, leading Bible study, playing games, doing crafts and just having fun with 70 + kids! We invite ages 13 years and up - no experience necessary!

Uganda: Messiah has an on-going partnership with the Lutheran Church Mission in Uganda in order to bring help to the orphaned, widowed, and AIDS affected community of Nakabango. There are a variety of ways you can reach out in active compassion to make a difference in this hurting part of the world. Collection of materials, financial donations, child sponsorships, or even a hands-on service project in Uganda …whatever the gift, we are looking for folks who can’t rest until hope and healing is given to the poorest of the poor.

South Dakota: Eagle Butte, South Dakota is the location of the Cheyenne River Youth Project and the destination of families each summer. Groups spend time with the kids served by CRYP and show them the love of Jesus Christ through their efforts and activities. Everyone, including families with small children, is invited to be a part of this mission.
